Our Services
Evidence-based care tailored to your mental health needs.

At Evidence-Based Consultation, our therapeutic model integrates the clinical precision of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with the forward-looking momentum of Solution-Focused Therapy. We believe that effective change requires both a compassionate, empathetic alliance and a structured, results-oriented framework. Unlike traditional "talk therapy," our virtual sessions are dynamic and interactive, utilizing real-time digital tools and evidence-based exercises designed to provide you with a concrete roadmap for progress. By blending these sophisticated modalities, we ensure that every session is not just a conversation, but a purposeful step toward mastering the practical skills you need to move your life forward with confidence.
Diagnostic Assessment
Therapy (Child, Adolescent, Adult)
Our diagnostic assessments are a crucial foundational step designed to clarify diagnosis and identify specific problems, countering the high rate of misdiagnosed conditions. This process is used to design a high-impact, practical, and individually tailored treatment plan. The results provide a clear diagnosis, a treatment plan, and/or a workbook. Practical treatment plans based on the latest research in the field of medicine and healthcare can significantly improve patient outcomes. These updated plans are tailored to meet the diverse needs of patients, ensuring they receive the most effective and personalized care possible.

Insurance: We accept Aetna, Anthem, BCBS, Carefirst, UHC, Medicaid, Optum, and more. Except for your deductible and your copay and if we are in network with your insurance, the insurance covers everything. You can always call your insurance and check with them.
Copays are a fixed fee you pay when you receive covered care like an office visit or pick up prescription drugs. A deductible is the amount of money you must pay out-of-pocket toward covered benefits before your health insurance company starts paying. In most cases your copay will not go toward your deductible
Please go to the appointment page and follow the instructions. We have invested in tools to optimize task execution and speed up our appointment and processing time. In an era where high expectation and the need for providing high quality services exist, we see it as a practical way to do our business. This way we are being responsive, and considering the fact that we receive hundreds of phone calls; using technology to connect is particularly important for us.
The screening is implemented to see if we may be a good fit for you. Studies indicate that 20 to 57 percent of people in therapy do not return after the initial session (Lambert). Another 37 to 45 percent only attend therapy a total of two times (Schwartz). Our goal is to minimize this early termination. Our clients return to us 90 to 96% of the time. Source: Lambert, M., J. & Barley, D., E. (2001). Research Summary on the therapeutic relationship and psychotherapy outcome. Psychotherapy, 38, 4, 357-361. If you would like us to do a diagnostic assessment and create a treatment plan that you can use to do get your process started, then please read the following and let us know.
When creating a treatment plan for you, you will be given a series of questions via validated psychological assessments and we use the information to create a clear and accurate diagnosis and a treatment plan that fits it. A 2012 study by Bipolar UK, the Royal College of Physicians, and Bipolar Scotland 706 people surveyed, only 15% received a prompt diagnosis, while 85% experienced diagnostic delay. “Misdiagnosis can happen with any mental health disorder,” says Gabrielle Moss, a writer for Bustle. “[For example], a 2009 meta-analysis of 50,000 patients published in the Lancet found that general practitioners only correctly identified depression in patients in 47.3% of cases.” Meanwhile, a 2008 study by researchers at the Brown University School of Medicine found that 57% of adults diagnosed with bipolar disorder did not meet diagnostic criteria upon more comprehensive diagnostic review. Aside from bipolar disorder and depression, some of the most frequently misdiagnosed mental health disorders include borderline personality disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and anxiety. So, we have created a plan to minimize this: By clarifying diagnosis, measuring progress, pre/post assessments and specific goals; we get a clear picture of the client and the root cause. Some of the real stories from those we've helped are below. Due to the importance of maintaining confidentiality in mental health, we do not encourage our clients to write a review on public platforms like Google, Facebook, or other social media. Instead, we prioritize their privacy and comfort, taking extra steps to ensure that their experiences are shared only in safe environments. This also means that we manually go through deleting any reviews that may unintentionally surface online. We have just added a couple of reviews that reflect the positive impact we strive to create for our clients, respecting their wishes while also inviting more stories of hope and resilience. We would be happy to share more if asked.
